Perfect for children’s cinema debut! Enjoy a film screening with your children!

This program is designed for those with young children to enjoy movies. Whether you are a parent or guardian watching a movie with your child for the first time, or a child trying to watch a movie by himself or herself, please enjoy this summer at the National Film Archive of Japan.

  • Date & Time: July 26 (Fri.), 27 (Sat.), August 2 (Fri.), 3 (Sat.), 14:00 start each day (doors open at 13:30)
  • Place: B1 Theatre
  • Eligibility: Junior high school students and younger and their parents/guardians
  • Capacity: 151 persons for each screening (advance reservation required) *Closed
  • Admission: Free for junior high school students and younger / ¥520 for adults / ¥310 for high school, university, and 65 years old and over
    *Registration is not accepted for high school students and older who are not accompanying or leading their children (junior high school students and younger).
    *High school students, university students, and those 65 years old and over must present proof of age on the day of the tour.

Children’s Participatory Event “Let’s Do It Together!″ Held

″Let’s Discuss Your Thoughts” will be held after the screening on Friday, July 26, and ”Let’s Play Benshi” will be held after the screening on Saturday, August 3.

Participants will also have free access to the NFAJ exhibition room!

After the screening, participants will be able to view the permanent and temporary exhibitions free of charge for the day of the screening. Children will receive several NFAJ Self-Guides to enjoy and learn about the permanent exhibition.

<Notes>

・The screening will be held in a darkened room.
・Loud noises may be heard during the screening.
・There will be flashing lights in ″月夜とめがね″ (Tsukiyo to Megane) on Friday, July 26.
・Visitors may enter and leave the theater during the screening.
