Art for Small Children: Art Appreciation with a Picture Book

Museum experience program for ages 0 and up!
It is okay to cry, laugh, and talk.
Let’s enjoy reading picture books and encountering artworks.

All museum staff and participants will visit various places in the museum. Staff will always support you during the event, so please feel free to participate.
Please enjoy what the museum is like.

On July 17 (Wed.) from 3:30 p.m., there will be a “NPO Comekko”(※1) session to nurture children’s sign language (language) skills. ※1 Specified NPO: Sign Language Acquisition Research Institute
Children who can hear as well as those who cannot or have difficulty hearing are welcome to come!

^{*The exhibition will be held on July 17, September 4, and October 2 with different content than usual because the collection exhibition and auditorium are closed for maintenance and repairs.}

• Target: Preschool children and their parents
• Capacity: 5 pairs of 10 persons per session (advance application required *drawing lots will be held if there are too many applications)
• Offered in Japanese language only
• Participation fee: Free

・In the exhibition room on the B3 floor, there are slightly louder sounds and the artist’s naked self-portrait and video works are on display.
・The temperature in the exhibition rooms is kept constant to maintain the condition of the works. Visitors are advised to wear adjustable clothing as they may feel cold.
